Micromax Asia Cup T20: Watch Pakistan vs UAE Live
For the first time this year, Asia cup is being held in the T20 format. It was no surprise actually, considering T20 is the favorite among all the fans. Five teams are playing in this tournament, held in Bangladesh. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has automatically qualified and UAE had to go through the qualifiers to reach the final round. The format is quite simple. All the teams will play each other and then the top two teams will play in the final. With the T20 Wold Cup fast approaching, this is the perfect opportunity for all the teams to get in shape for the Wold Cup. India is of course the favorites because of their recent form. But Sri Lanka and Pakistan also have quality sides and are more than capable of throwing in a surprise. Bangladesh also showed in the last World Cup, that they should also be considered as serious contenders.
The Pakistan Vs UAE match will be played today. Both the teams are recovering from a difficult loss and will be eager to get back in form. Pakistan players joined the tournament late because of their participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). They misread the pitch in their first match against India and suffered an embarrassing loss against their arch rivals. They only managed a total of 83. However, in spite of that, they bowled pretty well and almost got India in trouble. Like Pakistan, UAE also relies heavily on their bowlers. They look like a completely different side when they bowl, but their batting has constantly let them down. The form of one of their most famous players, Shahid Afridi should be a worry for Pakistan.
However, Mohammad Amir’s performance against India should give them some confidence. Amjad Javed, the captain of UAE, also said that his batsmen should take some inspiration from their bowlers. Pakistan also need to do the same. If they managed to score 40 more runs against India, then they could have won the watch. UAE is not a high profile opponent as India, hence the pressure should be less for Pakistan. They should be able to get the job done this time.
